Rocks, Gems, and Hands-On Science at UW This Weekend

The University of Waterloo is bringing back its Gem and Mineral Show this weekend—perfect timing as fall weather settles in. **When:** October 23–24 **What to expect:** Browse beautiful gems and minerals from collectors and vendors. On Saturday, there's a Kids Science Open House with more than 50 hands-on activities. Kids can learn, explore, and get their hands dirty (the good kind). Whether you're curious about crystals, want to see rocks up close, or just need an indoor outing that beats the chill, this show has something for everyone. Come see what's hidden in the earth.
